Dr. Daniel B. O’Neill


Dr. Daniel B. O’Neill, MD received his Bachelor of Science from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He then went on to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, where he was elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated with honors. He completed his general surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and then went on to Harvard Medical School, where he completed the Combined Orthopedic Residency Program and was chief resident at Massachusetts General Hospital. At Harvard, he additionally completed his fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgery.

Dr. Daniel B. O’Neill is the founder of NASA Bone & Joint Specialists, and has been in practice since 1989.  He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has a subspecialty board certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.  He has published many research articles in orthopedic journals including The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and The American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Daniel B. O’Neill’s interests are sports medicine, total joint replacement and fracture care.  He continues to pursue his interests in sports medicine and fracture care by participating as the team physician of many of the local high schools.  The high schools included are those in the Clear Creek ISD, Friendswood ISD, Dickinson ISD, Santa Fe ISD and Bay Area Christian School.  In addition, he is the Medical Director of Sports Medicine at Houston Methodist St. John Hospital.

Dr. Daniel B. O’Neill has been practicing orthopedic sports medicine and general orthopedics for over 27 years.  He is a committed orthopedic surgeon to Clear Lake and surrounding areas.

He is available by appointment only for office consultations Monday and Wednesday from 8am – 5pm and Thursday from 8am-12pm.  Appointments can be made by calling 281-333-5114.  He performs his surgeries at Houston Physicians Hospital, Houston Physicians Surgery Center, Houston Methodist St. John Hospital and Bay Area Regional Medical Center.
